Texas Dad Was Arrested For Taking This Common Item Away From His Daughter

We have faced the situations in our childhood when our parents would take away something that we love, only to teach us a lesson. And that is the right way to be a parent too - take away something if you think your child is not using it appropriately, teach them a lesson, and tell them what the right thing to do is. But when this father did the same thing, he was slapped with charges of theft. Check it out. Father's discipline landed him in jail.
It is a twisted story - one that will shock you. This father was only doing the right thing, in the correct way. But his action resulted in him being locked up in jail.
Ronald Jackson.
Ronald Jackson took away his 12-year-old daughter's cell phone when he found inappropriate texts in them.
But his ex-wife seemed to disagree.
His ex-wife, Michelle Steppe, saw it differently. She saw it as theft.
All this for just a phone!
At around 2 AM that day, the Grand Prairie Police came up to Ronald's doorsteps and arrested him on the charges of theft.
The ex's logic.
Ronald's ex-wife, who is married to a Grand Prairie officer, saw it as theft as she was the one who bought it, and so Ronald had no right to take it away from his daughter.
He was arrested in 2013.
But recenly, all charges were dropped as there was not enough evidence.
Allowed to keep the phone.
Ronald was allowed to keep the phone, but has ended his relationship with his ex-wife and daughter.
Did he do anything wrong?
As a parent, it does not seem like he did anything wrong.
All this could have been avoided.
His ex-wife says all this could have been avoided, had he just returned the phone. But then, what is right and what is not in a matter such as this?
