Depending on who you are you either hate snakes, love them or hope to pay them no mind and be left alone in return, but when you come across a whole group of them you’ll at least want to get a photograph. When Michael Delaney ended up coming across a full group of rattlesnakes while walking around in Winnett, Montana he decided to use his GoPro to record the event. What he didn’t plan on happening was the rattlers jumping up to strike the camera and knocking it out of his hands into their den below!
These snakes aren’t really friendly at all, so any intrusion into their territory isn’t one they take lightly. With that being said they’re still generally afraid of humans due to our sheer size, but that doesn’t mean they’ll just let us run in all willy-nilly whenever we want to. Luckily Delaney managed to fish his camera out of the den with a hockey stick he had kept nearby, so I doubt he’ll be forgetting this moment any time soon.
What would you do if you dropped your phone down into a pit like that? Maybe there’s a legitimate reason to always carry around something long with the ability to grab things, at least there definitely is out in Winnett!
