It was the moment when “cuteness went through the roof”.For the four months of his very short life, Leopold Wilbur Reppond, known as Leo, had been unable to see properly because of a rare disorder called oculocutaneous albinism.
But that all changed when his parents, David and Erin, got Leopold a pair of special glasses and put them on as family and friends looked on. And when Leopold see his momma’s face for the first time, cuteness went through the roof.
The special infant glasses have normal lenses but the frames, made from a rubbery material, have no screws, no hinges and no sharp edges.”He can see us now. He’s starting to see objects in front of him for the first time,” MR Reppond said. ‘He’s smiling a lot more and he can see everybody in the room, he’s interacting more.
“He loves the light and he loves being outdoors where he can see the grass and the blue sky. He loves toys and he’s starting to reach for things. “He’s seeing the world differently.”
