When Apple finally unveiled their 2016 flagship, they were excited to announce that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are both certified to be waterproof devices. This, of course, made most fans very excited. However, it also made others quite curious as to the extent of the new iPhone’s waterproof capabilities. While others just kept being curious about it, there are those who put the devices to test.
The new iPhones emerged from all the tests working just fine. The only thing to note here is that the touchscreen of the iPhones did not work underwater but that is understandable given their capacitive nature.
According to a CNN report, Apple does not include water damage in its smartphones’ warranty. This means that you shouldn’t wet the iPhone on purpose, as these iPhones has a ‘liquid contact indicator’ inside it that basically indicates if a liquid entered the phone and probably caused damage.
