Passenger films plane’s remarkable crash landing in the ocean

Airplane travel has been one of the quickest and most efficient means of travel we’ve ever known. People fly in planes to go visit family or even to head out across the sea for a vacation. It’s one of the safest ways to travel there is, and yet there are still those times when something will go wrong. That’s something we all know, deep down, but we don’t want to think about it at all since none of us will ever be on “that flight”. No one wants to be on the airplanes you hear on the news that have gotten lost or crashed, but at the very least it’s nice to know that our pilots will do anything to keep that from happening.

Ferdinand Puentes was flying on a small passenger plane off the coast of Hawaii when something went terribly wrong and the plane was going down. Puentes managed to pull his phone out to record the pilot’s incredible emergency water landing and their rescue shortly thereafter. Luckily no one was killed or seriously injured in the accident and everyone made it off OK. Their belongings on the other hand…

This could have easily ended up as a disaster had that pilot not been equipped for the job, but any pilot that travels to and from an island that isn’t prepared for a water landing probably isn’t a pilot you’d want to have anyways. None of us ever want to be put in a position like this, but at least in this scenario everyone came out with one hell of a story to tell the grandkids!
