It happened at Barkers Pet Motel and Grooming in Canada. When workers came in one evening to check on some newborn puppies, they were shocked at what they saw. They reviewed security cameras and it was heartwarming what was revealed.
It involved an older golden retriever named Maggie. She had managed to escape out of her kennel, and then she made her way straight to the little puppies. She then attempted to comfort the little ones any way she could by laying right next to their kennel.
The workers went toward the kennel where Maggie was and rather than put her back into her proper kennel, they instead let her go into the puppy kennel. And sure enough, this is what Maggie wanted. She ended up staying there with the puppies the entire night!
It truly was a wonderful moment as Maggie’s motherly instincts kicked in as she knew there were some puppies in need who could use some fostering. Maggie made it her mission to get as close to the pups as possible. Thankfully the staff saw what was going on and proceeded to place her with the pups!
