Little Girl Reads To Horses Before Going To School

Reading doesn’t only make a person smart but it can also help you make friends.

The Benefits Of Reading

When parents read to their young children, it not only encourages the child to speak and learn words but also helps build the parent’s relationship with the child.

Storytime Ritual

A girl named Alayna from Staunton, Virginia has her own storytime ritual, but she’s not the one being read to.

Her Audience

Instead of being read to, Alayna is the one doing all the reading, and her audience is their horses.

Helping Her Mom

Alayna’s mom, Tera Rae Fauver, owns Break Away Show Horses which specializes in training horses and showing them in the American Paint Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association arenas.

She Shares Her Passion

Alayna shares her mom’s passion by helping in taking care of the horses and even competing as well.

Her Favorite Horse

There’s one horse, in particular, that Alayna bonded with. His name is Phantom who is a painted horse that Alayna chose to be her reading buddy.

Daily Routine

Every morning before going to school, Alayna would go into Phantom’s pen for storytime.

They Both Enjoy It

While Alayna adorably reads from a book, Phantom would hang over her shoulder, suggesting that he’s comfortable around the little girl and is enjoying seeing the pictures from Alayna’s book.
