Being a new mom can be challenging, especially if you’re recovering from surgery. One Georgia mom struggling through the holiday season received one of the best Christmas presents from a UPS delivery driver.
The temporary holiday driver, Dallen Harrell, was dropping off a package at the Kitchel residence when he took a moment to leave a sweet message of support on their video doorbell.
Harrell had known the Kitchel’s recently had a baby boy and expressed his well-wishes for everyone’s health. He reassured the new mom, Jessica, that she was doing great.
When Jessica replayed the kind words, she was brought to tears. She had been feeling down, struggling with her Cesarean section recovery. That message was exactly what she needed to hear.
In his message, Harrell had mentioned that he too had a brand new son born around the same time, so the Kitchel’s left a baby care package on their porch for him.
The two families met in person a few days later and became fast friends. Paying him back in kind, Jessica mentioned that she hoped to raise her son to be as kind and generous as Dallen.
It just shows that a few kind words go a long way. You never know how you will impact someone’s life and what friends you may end up making along the way!
